About Me

Hello, I'm Despoina-Jaya Tsimitra.

I am a Psychological Astrologer dedicated to helping people gain deeper insight into themselves, their life experiences, and the patterns that shape their journey.

My work is rooted in the belief that self-awareness is one of the most powerful catalysts for growth, healing, and transformation. Through Psychological Astrology, I offer a space for reflection, self-discovery, and a deeper understanding of the unique story your soul is seeking to unfold.

My Journey

I was born and raised in Greece, where I studied Archaeology and History of Arts—drawn to exploring the layers of human experience and the search for meaning hidden beneath the surface.

Like many people who embark on a path of self-discovery, my journey began through personal challenges. Early life experiences deeply impacted my sense of self and self-worth, leading me to question who I was beyond the roles, expectations, and conditioning I had inherited.

In 2001, a dear friend gifted me a book on Astrology. What seemed like a simple gift became the beginning of a profound inner journey.

Astrology became a mirror through which I could better understand myself. It helped me make sense of my experiences, recognise my strengths, explore my challenges, and discover the deeper meaning behind my life's journey. Through my natal chart, I began to see that even the most difficult experiences carried opportunities for growth, self-awareness, and transformation.

As my path unfolded, I continued to explore various healing modalities. In 2003, I became a Reiki Level II practitioner, deepening my understanding of energy, presence, and the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

A significant turning point came in 2006 when I spent time in an Osho Ashram in Pune, India. It was a deeply transformative experience that invited me into greater self-awareness, meditation, and inner exploration. During this time, I received my spiritual name, Jaya, which means victory—not over others, but over the limitations that prevent us from living as our authentic selves.

In 2013, I relocated to Australia with my family. Two years later, I began working as a childcare educator. My time with children became an unexpected invitation to reconnect with my own inner child—through play, curiosity, creativity, and healing.

Over the years, my studies expanded to include Psychological and Esoteric Astrology, Holistic Counselling, shadow work, and various approaches to personal growth and self-inquiry. Each step has contributed to the work I offer today.

My Approach

The psychological foundation of my work is inspired by the teachings of Carl Jung, who viewed astrology as a symbolic language of the psyche. Jung recognised that the archetypes reflected in astrology mirror universal patterns within the human experience.

Through Psychological Astrology, I help clients explore the unconscious patterns, emotional dynamics, strengths, challenges, and growth opportunities reflected within their birth chart.

Rather than predicting the future, my approach focuses on cultivating self-awareness, conscious choice, and a deeper understanding of the themes shaping your life.

I believe that within every challenge lies the potential for transformation, and within every wound lies the possibility of wisdom.

A Space for Reflection and Growth

Whether you are navigating a life transition, questioning your direction, exploring relationship patterns, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, my intention is to provide a compassionate and supportive space for exploration.

Together, we can uncover the patterns that have shaped your story, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and cultivate a deeper relationship with yourself.

The journey of healing is not about becoming someone new—it is about remembering who you truly are.
